Overview:
In this lecture I will go into node internals the way it was never done before: With an intuitive explanation using our senses.
With modern SSDs and heat efficiency, we’ve lost the “engine noise” of our machines, which hinders our intuition into the smooth workings of our applications.
In the same way a seasoned mechanic can diagnose an engine based on its rumble, we could debug leaks, resource locks, threads, and performance issues based on the sound of its components. This is a current issue with electric car manufacturers, who have to design sounds for their silent engines.
